What makes this set a must-have, especially at this price, is its size. No, it isn't one of the behemoth UCS sets, but rather a mid-sized set, which means you don't need an entire coffee table to display it. Measuring at over 6 x 12.5 x 4 inches (height x length x width), it's still packed with plenty of detail, including engines and turboblasters, along with the striking red that goes along the side and front of the ship.
The Tantive IV also comes on its own display stand, along with a display plaque showcasing its name and a commemorative brick highlighting the 25th anniversary of Lego Star Wars. There are a few stickers involved in the building process, which is otherwise a relatively quick and fun experience. There are even escape pods on the underside of the hull for R2-D2 and C3PO's escape to Tatooine. At this price, it's a pretty awesome Lego Star Wars set to build and proudly display.
Key features: 654 pieces, engines, turboblasters and escape pod details, a display stand and display plaques, stickers, measures over 6 x 12.5 x 4 (inches, height x length x width).
Price history: Before today's deal, this set regularly retailed over $55 and often between $60 and $70, which means at $49, it's top value.
Price comparison: Amazon: $58.99 | Walmart: $49 | Best Buy: $79.99
Reviews consensus: Super fun to build, packed with detail and great to display, this mid-sized ship is well worth getting now that it's on offer for one of the lowest prices we've ever seen.
Space: ★★★½
