Connor Storrie Honors Women’s USA Hockey Team After Olympics in ‘SNL’ Monologue

“Heated Rivalry” star Connor Storrie debuted as “SNL” host Saturday with a monologue that was less about the actor who plays a hockey star on TV, and more about giving credit to the women’s USA hockey team following their slight from the men’s team and President Donald Trump during the recent Olympics.
Following the cold open, Storrie — who plays Russian hockey player Ilya Rozanov on HBO’s hit hockey romance TV series “Heated Rivalry” opposite Hudson Williams as Canadian hockey star Shane Hollander — kicked off his monologue, saying: “I am so excited to be here. Now, some of you may have seen literally all of me on my show. It’s a show that has taught a lot of people about hockey, and it’s taught a lot of straight women that their sexuality is actually gay guy.”
