‘Plush Party’ Offers Chaotic Multiplayer Claw Game Fun

Plush Party is a claw machine-inspired game where you and your friends need to avoid a giant claw to keep yourself alive.

I’ve played a lot of couch party games, but is a simple, silly, and quirky one that I can see younger children having a fantastic time with! The idea is simple; one player is a giant claw and the rest are fun little prizes that are trying not to get caught. The claw player can lower their claw, trying to grab the various characters who are running around the level, often looking to deposit them into the hole in on the side of the level. The rest of the toys in the claw machine can jump about, run away, and even stun the other characters so that they are stuck in place. Whenever someone gets caught, they also can become a claw, so nobody is out of the gameplay for long, either.

I got the chance to play Push Party at BCN Game Fest where I got to explore the game in a bit more detail. In the lobby, you can customise your characters by going into a giant spray can to change your color or go into a closet to add hats onto yourself. It’s simple, it’s cute, and there is a big focus on the silly aspects of the game. There are also plenty of different levels that add varied worlds and challenges.

I do feel if Plush Party comes to console (there’s unfortunately no plans for this at this time), it will be a game pulled out whenever our children have friends over. I love watching all of the little pets bounce around like prizes inside the machine. The idea that they can become the claw even when you are knocked out of the arena. It feels fun, frantic, and very good.

Plush Party is currently in development, but in the meantime, you can add it to your Steam Wishlist.
