Home security should be a priority of any homeowner. Even any renter should care about how well their locks work. If you have gone through the process of setting up a smart home, chances are cameras have been on your radar or you've already installed them. They can give you a view of areas of your house when you aren't there, improving your security and providing you with better peace of mind.

However, there are deficiencies that many smart home cameras have that are nearly unavoidable. Those are blind spots, where the camera can't see in a specific area. But with the Lorex Connect 2K Wi-Fi Smart Light Bulb Pan-Tilt Camera, that isn't the case anymore. Not only can these see a complete 360º, but they will fit into your home's decor easily. You'll barely know they're there because they look like a regular light bulb.

This is security for an entire area

The Lorex Connect 2K Wi-Fi Smart Light Bulb Pan-Tilt Camera can pan 360º and can tilt 90º, giving you any view you want. This can provide you with an eye in the sky, no matter where you install it.

If you're using something like a Ring Floodlight Cam Pro, you'll get two lights and then a camera all in one unit. But they are distinctly different parts of the camera and are very obvious. The Lorex light bulb camera gives you a wide angle view of an area of your home but is all one piece.

The bottom portion is where the camera is located, and that's the portion that tilts and pans. The top portion is a light, which has an adjustable color temperature, so you can set it for the warmth that you desire.

The camera triggers the light when it senses motion, so it can serve as a warning for trespassers but also as a help for those who want to see in a darker area. It is mainly triggered by people and cars, but you can also control it via the Lorex Connect app to turn it on whenever you want. This is where you can also view the live feed of your camera.

The camera also tracks the motion, so it will follow the movement, meaning you don't have to physically do so in order to get the video that you want. It keeps the subjects in frame. It can take pictures in either aspects of 2560 x 1440 or 1280 x 720 and the video resolution is 2K. You don't need to have a subscription to use the camera.

It's incredibly easy to install

####
This is much easier than many options out there

The smart lighting is discreet and you can install it in a ton of places in your home. The Lorex light bulb works with any standard E26/E27 light socket, making it great for indoor or outdoor use.

There is no wiring that needs to be worried about. One of the toughest parts of installing smart home cameras is the wiring aspects. Unless you have freestanding cameras or even an old smartphone that you've turned into a security camera, you have to figure out the best ways to wire them. But that isn't the case with this.

As mentioned, you can control it with the Lorex Connect app. The light bulb camera is compatible with Bluetooth and Wi-Fi 6 and the camera connectivity is wireless. It supports both 2.4GHz and 5GHz connections.

Once your camera is connected to your Wi-Fi or to your phone via Bluetooth, you'll be able to utilize the app. The Lorex Connect app is available on Apple and Android phones.

If you plan to use this outdoors, ensure that your Wi-Fi connection reaches your outside area well so you can get the most out of the camera.

Along with the motion sensor activation, there are other security features that the trusted camera possesses. You have the option to store your footage on a microSD card that you plug into the camera. Cloud storage is coming to the Lorex Connect app.

The Lorex Connect 2K Wi-Fi Smart Light Bulb Pan-Tilt Camera can pan 360º and can tilt 90º, giving you any view you want.

There is a built-in AI and privacy mode that keeps your camera protected. There is a two-way talk feature that allows you to communicate with anyone standing near the camera. You can use this to alert trespassers that they are being filmed or to just tell the delivery person where to leave your package. It has a built-in microphone and speaker, so they can communicate back to you. This has become a staple of good smart home gadgets in recent years. There's also a built-in siren to deter intruders.
