Ahead of its opening on Thursday, February 26, 2026, Apple has previewed Apple Borivali, Mumbai's second Apple Store.
As previously predicted, Apple's latest store in India is in the newly-opened Sky City Mall, off the Western Express Highway, and near Borivali station. Those previous leaks claimed that Apple has signed a lease for 10 years and 10 months on a site of 12,616 square feet.
"We're thrilled to open Apple Borivali, and bring the best of Apple to life for even more customers in India," Deirdre O'Brien, Apple's senior vice president of Retail and People, said in a statement. "We're so inspired by the creativity and enthusiasm of communities across India, and our dedicated team members are excited to welcome and connect with customers in this extraordinary new store, our second in Mumbai."
The new store is around 13 miles from Apple BKC, Mumbai's original Apple Store and the first one to be opened in India. Like Apple BKC and all Apple Stores, Apple says it runs on 100% renewable energy and is carbon neutral.
If reports of the seemingly unusual length of lease are correct, it's believed to be because of a complex sequence of deals. Apple has secured 10 months free, but after that will be paying $21,000 rent per month plus a revenue share rising over time from 2% to 2.5%.

Unlike some previous Apple Store openings, such as the August 2025 one for India's Apple Hebbal, the new store has not scheduled special Today at Apple sessions. Its official site is offering downloadable wallpapers, however.
That site also directs users to "Dance to the beats of Borivali," with a link to a specially-curated playlist on Apple Music.
